Navman Fuel 3200
Supplied with protection cover, 20 m supply cable, tachometer sensor + 4m cable, 2 brass connectors.
The Diesel 3200 fuel computer offers the same functions as the Fuel 3100, adapted to Diesel use:
- Large easy to read digits up to 25mm high with adjustable backlighting
- Instant fuel flow (port/starboard): 2.5 to 160 L/h (0.5.35 US gallons/h, 0.4.30imp.gallons/h)
- Day and total petrol used: 0 to 9999 units
- Fuel remaining in tank: 0-9999units
- Engine hours counter, for easy management of engine service intervals (0 to 9999)
- Graphical fuel gauge shows fuel remaining at a glance
- Variable alarms: low fuel and low battery
- Shares data with other instruments using NMEA or NavBus (with one single gauge kit)
- NavBus compatible: connects to other Navman instruments (Tracker, Fish, 3100 series)
- NMEA 0183 input: RMC (from GPS or any compatible speed instrument)
- NMEA 0183 output: VHW,XDR,VLW.
- Additional functions, when connected to a GPS or speed instrument.
- Fuel economy (mileage per litre of petrol)
- Trip and total log
- Instant average and maximum speed (0 to 100 knots)
- Remaining distance
- 0.1 unit speed resolution
- Colour: Black
It also has the following additional features:
- Direct RPM input: digital engine tachometer input for complete engine propulsion and performance analysis.
- Diesel 3200 is supplied complete with a 1-engine kit including dual fuel flow transducers.
- Transom and through-hull speed transducers are optional.
- Accepts NMEA speed input via NavBus or from any compatible GPS or fishfinder.
- Diesel 3200 fuel computer is compatible with all Navman speed transducers with a LT8 watertight connector.
An ingenious diesel fuel management system monitors fuel flow with a positive displacement transducer on both inlet and return lines, to compute highly accurate fuel consumption. When combined with speed data (from GPS or paddle wheel), valuable economy and range information can be displayed. This data is very useful to determine optimum throttle settings for maximum engine efficiency, according to the boat, the sea condition and the boat load.
Supply and Return (IN and OUT) transducers work together to monitor :
- Instantaneous diesel consumption (fuel supply and return)
- Temperature, to adapt to viscosity
- Compute the data from the tachometer
- Type of engine: all diesel types from 100 to 400 HP
- Safety manual by-pass
- 20 m cable
- Accuracy: 2% without calibration, 1% with calibration
