Aerogen Wind Generator
Aerogen wind generators are for charging 12 and 24 volt lead acid and nickel cadmium batteries when mains power is either not available or not suitable. The power generated is directly related to wind speed and the energy is converted into electricity. Once purchased the power produced is free and the uses are many, both for regular and emergency use.
Flat batteries are at the very least an inconvenience and at worse a disaster if safety, or essential equipment is without power. Furthermore, the time and cost of charging and replacing them can be substantial. Constantly run down batteries have short lives and an engine idling to charge them suffers much wear and tear. Aerogens can help avoid problems, reduce costs and provide the power to make life more enjoyable and safer.
Aerogen wind generators are big in performance and robust yet compact and lightweight. They incorporate computer aided design based on over fifteen years experience and manufacture.
The powerful Aero6gen is the ideal unit for the live aboard yachtsmen, long stay caravaners, summer houses and applications with high power usage. The Aero6gen produces 4 amps at 12 knots (96 amp hours per day) and 10 amps at 20 knots (240 amp hours per day). It operates safely and continuously in storms and can produce 30 amps continuously in 45 knot and higher winds.

- Powerful Performance Designed for All Wind Speeds: The optimum wind speed is between 5 and 20 knots. Aerogens are designed to operate efficiently in this range, starting to charge at 5 knots. Equally they take advantage of higher wind speeds to produce higher outputs continuously and safely, even if in storm force winds.
- Quiet, Safe, Low Speed, Efficient Propellors: Low noise, low speed computer designed propellors operate at low revolutions for enhanced safety, comfort and reduced bearing wear. Compared to some, often larger units, they produce similar power at much lower propellor speeds.
- Efficient Brushless Alternators: High efficiency brushless alternators incorporate heavy duty stator windings and high energy permanent magnet rotors. The Aero6gen is optimised to maintain continuous high outputs in high winds.
- Compact, Light, Robust and Maintenance Free: Aerogens are lighter and smaller than some units with similar or even lower performances, yet are sturdy and robust. They incorporate heavy duty sealed for life bearings, heavy duty slip-rings and brushes. The rotors are sleeved and potted in epoxy. Corrosion resistant marinized materials are used throughout. All Aerogens provide years of maintenance free use.
